My Story... Dr. Timothy Rosio’s many contributions to the field of dermatological medicine have garnered him an international reputation for excellence. The author of almost two dozen articles on cutting-edge treatments, Dr. Tim Rosio was educated at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and Stanford University Medical Center. Dr. Tim Rosio maintains affiliations with a number of professional organizations in the United States and abroad. Dr. Tim Rosio is a Fellow of the International Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In addition, Dr. Tim Rosio is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Teaching has been a vital part of Dr. Timothy Rosio’s career. Before moving into private practice, Dr. Tim Rosio served as a teaching faculty member alongside Frederick Mohs, the inventor of Mohs surgery, and directed the Cosmetic, Laser, and Skin Surgery Program at the UC Davis Medical Center’s Department of Dermatology. Dedicated to his community, Dr. Tim Rosio continues to reach out to others on topics related to dermatological education. Dr. Tim Rosio has worked with high school health teachers and taught high school-level health classes about preventing dermal infections and other conditions in adolescents. Dr. Tim Rosio has also been national chairman of "Skin Cancer Takes Friends," organizing thousands of screenings across the U.S., and he conducted family education and games at a program called “Healthy You at the Zoo,” emphasizing skin protection for children and their families. In addition to his many other achievements, Dr. Tim Rosio is the recipient of the Ronald Reagan Memorial Gold Medal and the Pioneer of Healthcare Award. Recently, House Majority Leader Tom Reynolds announced that Dr. Tim Rosio had been selected as Physician of the Year for his contributions to his country.
