My Story... I was born int he coastal town of Coos Bay, oregon and grew up there. After High School (1987) I went to Oregon State University for one year and decided that I was wasting a lot time. So I joined the Navy, I was Electronic Technician Second Class when I got out in 1999. I served on the USS Acadia, the USS Gompers, and Fallbrook Naval Weapons Station. I was in for 9 and 1/2 years and met my future husband on the Acadia in 1992. I did three West Pacs and served during Operation Desert Storm. During shore duty at Fallbrook Weapons Station, I decided to go to school for Computer Engineering. I found Coleman College I completed my BS degree in 3 years (1996 - 1999) and was hired there the same day I was released form the Navy. In 1999 was also when I married my husband (David), he is currently a Master Chief in the Navy (27 years) and aboard the USS Ronald Reagaon, and is currently on West Pac (6 month deploymnet).
I was hired as an instructor in the Computer Network Technicians Department (first successful female they had in that department. I then started on my Masters Degree in Management of Information Systems. I was promoted to Department Chair in 2000 and shortly took over anothe rDepartment (Computer Applications and Networks). We decided to merge thos two programs into one and had Computer Network Technology (Later became Computer Networks). In 2003 my husband and I moved to Washington State and lived in Stanwood (small about 15 miles North of Everett). In 2005 we moved back to San Diego and I was again hired at Coleman College as the Director of Currriculum Development, that lasted about 6 months. They needed a new Dean of Academics and I quickly moved into that posiiton, then I took the Branch Manager position in addition to the dean job. It was then they decided they would give me a better title since I was pretty much running everything (I seem to be very bossy and kind of take over things as needed). So they made me Vice President, I also serve on the
